BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP:

A 16-year-old boy has died following a drowning incident Sunday at the Francis E. Walter Dam in Luzerne County.

According to authorities, 16-year-old Enias Mins entered the water at approximately 4 p.m. alongside four other individuals but failed to resurface.

Emergency crews and dive teams responded to the scene and later recovered the teen from the water. He was initially transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley before being transferred to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where he died Monday.

Officials said the death has been ruled accidental, with drowning listed as the cause of death. A toxicology report will be completed as part of the investigation.
