Recent court documents allege that a controlled purchase of methamphetamine was conducted in Hawley Borough in July 2025 as part of a drug investigation by law enforcement.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, investigators conducted a controlled buy on July 17, 2025, using a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from Tami Frick at her residence on Church Street in Hawley Borough, Wayne County. The informant had been communicating with Frick through a messaging application and arranged to purchase 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, commonly referred to as an “eight ball,” for $200.
Investigators said the confidential informant purchased suspected methamphetamine from Frick and turned the substance over to law enforcement. Subsequent laboratory testing confirmed the substance contained methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, weighing approximately 3.23 grams.
Frick is charged with felony manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance by a person not registered; misdemeanor use or possession of drug paraphernalia; and felony criminal use of a communication facility. All charges stem from the July 17, 2025 incident.
Frick remains incarcerated at the Wayne County Correctional Facility after bail was set at $50,000, which she was unable to post.
