PIKE COUNTY, Pa. - First responders from several Pennsylvania agencies recently came together to complete specialized training focused on coordinated response to active attack incidents, according to the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with several law enforcement, fire and school police agencies, completed the ALERRT Active Attack Integrated Response Instructor Train-the-Trainer Course.

Eastern Pike Regional Police said the intensive training prepares first responders to become certified instructors, allowing them to provide standardized, evidence-based active shooter response training within their own agencies and communities.

Participating agencies included the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Delaware Valley School Police, Eastern Pike Regional Police Department, Milford Fire Department, Palmer Township Fire Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, New Providence Police Department and Lower Saucon Police Department.

“By training together, these agencies strengthened regional partnerships, enhanced interoperability and reinforced their shared commitment to protecting the communities they serve through preparedness, collaboration, and continued professional development,” Eastern Pike Regional Police said.
