Man Dead Following Officer Involved Shooting
GREENE TOWNSHIP — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred Tuesday on Roemerville Road in Greene Township, Pike County.
According to a statement released by state police, troopers from the Blooming Grove station responded to a residence at the request of Pike County Mental Health/Mental Development. During the incident, an officer involved shooting occurred.
The Pike County Coroner and state police forensic units were also called to the scene.
The investigation is being conducted in coordination with the Pike County District Attorney’s Office. Investigators are reviewing available evidence, including body worn camera footage and other investigative materials.
State police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.
