Fire crews were dispatched Wednesday evening to a serious crash in Blooming Grove Township on State Route 402 between the entrances to White Deer Lake Road. A 911 caller reported the driver was unconscious, breathing heavily, and entrapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters conducted a complex extrication that lasted nearly an hour before the patient could be freed. A medical helicopter was staged at Wallenpaupack North Primary School in Hawley, where the patient was transported by ambulance and then flown to CMC Hospital.
